The objective of ASHRAE 403-RP is to develop a method for predicting the velocity profiles of air flow downstream of common fittings used in HVAC duct systems.

The work is subdivided into two phases. Phase I consists of a literature survey and a definition of test work for Phase II. A series of experimental tests are proposed for Phase II.
